Winner announcement and congratulations
Dear hackers
We had such an amazing time over the weekend and would like to express our thank a little. Thank you to each one of you for taking the time and search for solutions on Dementia. When we say you are all winners this is exactly what we mean. To us you really are all superheroes because you took time off to join this event and in good faith search for solutions for better treating, recognizing and living with Dementia. Hats off to all of you.
As you know top 3 winners were chosen by the jury on site on Sunday. For those that missed the event live on zoom let us quickly look at who won and what they created.
1. Winners : Team Copatki
They are offering an Aid Dementia KIT with various solutions that respond to different needs of dementia patients. Their set compiles with a set of games for patients, designed gps bracelets, sensory scent bottle and bags, DIY plant kit and others. All designed to help slow the disease and make quality time with the caretakes.
2. 2nd place: Team Mindy
Mindy is a collaborative community-focused task management app for caregivers.
They want to address the pain points that a caregiver is dealing with, when taking care of the patient with dementia Access to information, sharing information with others caregivers, managing and organising responsibilities and getting support from the community.
3. 3rd place: Team Hippo-help
Hippo-help is providing a web platform for easier application to nursing homes in Slovenia. By doing that we are accelerating treating dementia properly as elder care wait times also lead to valuable time lost on treating the disease.
Congratulations to these 3 big winners but like we said it many times on the event. All solutions will be evaluated together with materials that you have provided and team from Roche, Municipality of Kranj and office for digitalization of Slovenia will select those that can get implemented. So keep thinking of Dementia and who knows maybe just your project will be the one to get selected.
Thank you again for sharing your ideas with us. We learned a lot over the weekend and hope you did to and meet some amazing people in the process.
